Ministry of Food Cafe has been trading for 22 years. We have built a reputation for delivering excellent food, coffee and service to the discerning civil servants and general public of Wellington. The cafe has the atmosphere of a bubbling, bustling, busy inner city cafe where you can see the staff enjoy their job. This (and some of the best coffee in the city) is what keeps the regulars coming back for more!

The Cafe is open five days a week, Monday - Friday from 7.00am until the last customer leaves at night.

All the food served at Ministry of Food Cafe is made on the premises. With a true cafe menu featuring delicious homemade soups, curries, risottos, grilled breads and evening bar snacks, MOF is the real deal.

MOF has a full bar licence featuring plenty of interesting and eclectic wines sourced from throughout NZ and beyond along with a fantastic selection of boutique beers and all the classics.

Tucked away behind the shrubbery is an outdoor courtyard, complete with herb garden and great music. An oasis in the middle of the highrises the courtyard is a perfect location for after work 'wind-down' drinks or a lazy alfresco lunch.

Both the cafe and courtyard are available for private functions. You can completely customise your menu to include all your favourite Ministry of Food delights or we can help design a menu that will work for you and your budget.
